There are many different mold & indoor air quality services we are proud to offer. They are usually performed for someonethat thinks they may have a mold problem, has visible mold growth, can smell "musty" odors or who has had a previous water
leak. We also can aid real estate transactions when someone buys or sells a house. To get a better idea of what you might need, we
have listed our services below:
Mold Inspections:
This includes a visual inspection of the property for any obvious mold/fungal growth. We also include a water intrusion
test in all areas that are prone to high moisture. We then can make a suggestion based on our findings and usually
recommend sampling or a remediation procedure. All inspections include digital photos of problem areas as well as a computer
generated report. - Level I & Level II Assesments
Swab or Lift Sampling:
This is a specific type of test performed when there is visible mold growth. We use a wetted swab or Bio-Tape
to lift the growth off the surface and then seal it in a specialized container. This will then be forwarded to an AIHA accredited
laboratory for analysis. The report will include the spore name and the description.
Whole House Air Sampling:
This is a more inclusive type of test that will let you know what is in the air you are
breathing. All air samples will be completed using Zefon spore trap cassettes (Air-O-Cell®) to ensure the most reliable results. TheAir-O-Cell® is designed for the rapid collection of a wide range of airborne aerosols including mold spores, pollen, insect parts,
skin cells, fibers and inorganic particulate.
The home's air is drawn through the spore trap cassette using a self-contained IAQ pump
and then all biological particles are impacted on to the slides surface. The standard for all of our tests are a minimum of 2
samples inside and 1 sample outside (to have a baseline for comparison). These cassettes are then sent to the lab for analysis. The
reports will show the type of mold and the amount of mold in the air (per cubic meter).
Allergen Testing:
This is a specialized type of test that will detect high levels of commonly known allergens. Many times when clients
have breathing issues or respiratory problems, they have us perform a mold test. If this comes back at normal levels the next
test recommended is an allergen test. The procedure will detect unusual levels of dust mites, cat dander, dog dander, cockroach
parts, mouse & rat. These all can cause any number of symptoms such as: asthma, headaches, coughing, eye irritation, sneezing,
lethargy, fatigue, flu-like symptoms, dizziness, respiratory irritation, or a tight chest.
